In 1964 Deena Stryker traveled to Cuba to interview the original "Twelve" leaders of the Revolution. The members of the government, including Fidel Castro, Raul Castro, Che Guevara and Celia Sanchez, spoke to her informally, occasionally talking about each other. They shared the original intentions of the Revolution and the changes they planned for Cuba. The photographs are now part of a collection at Duke University. Stryker returned to Cuba in 2011, taking the color pictures in the Epilogue.

"God" is another word for order/disorder, therefore religious belief is not useful in dealing with that ubiquitous phenomenon. Awareness that the sacredness of every type of life is the only absolute can provide the serenity we do not find in religion.
